THE WAY OF SALVATION

The Romans Road

How to make sure you're on your way to heaven.

A clear presentation of the gospel: the problem of sin, God's provision in Jesus Christ, the pardon offered through His death and resurrection, and the decision each person must make.

Based on The Romans Road by Tony Evans.

THE GOSPEL IN FOUR MOVEMENTS

The road begins with the truth.

Read each movement slowly. The destination is not self-improvement; it is reconciliation with God through Jesus Christ.

01

The Problem

Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23

Every person has sinned and fallen short of God’s holiness. Sin is not merely a comparison between people; it is our failure to reflect God’s glory, and it carries the consequence of death and separation from Him.

02

The Provision

Romans 5:8

God demonstrated His love by sending Jesus Christ to die for sinners. Jesus was without sin, yet He willingly took the penalty we could never pay for ourselves.

03

The Pardon

1 Corinthians 15:3–4

Jesus died, was buried, and rose again. The empty tomb is the assurance that His sacrifice is sufficient and that forgiveness and new life are found in Him.

04

Where Do You Stand?

Romans 10:9–10

Salvation is received by trusting Jesus Christ—not by heritage, church identity, or good works. Place the full weight of your confidence in Him and confess Him as Lord.

A PERSONAL RESPONSE

Where do you stand with Jesus?

The exact wording of a prayer is not the point. What matters is sincere trust in Jesus Christ—His sinless life, His death in your place, and His resurrection.

A SIMPLE PRAYER

Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner. I believe that You died on the cross and rose from the dead. I place my confidence in You as my Savior. Forgive me, give me eternal life, and teach me to live for You. Amen.
